Emma Downie
I am an integrative psychotherapist with a particular interest in the existential approach. This means I focus on the uniqueness of each individual and their own experience in their existence whilst working relationally as another human being. I have a post graduate diploma (level 7) in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regents University and am currently completing a Masters in Existential Psychotherapy. I am a member of BACP and follow their ethical guidelines.

I currently volunteer as a psychotherapist with VIA, an organisation supporting people with drug and alcohol issues.

Psychotherapy is a form of talking therapy that aims to look in depth at different concerns, difficulties or challenges in life. Through building a therapeutic relationship over a period of time, a space is created in which you can safely and confidentially explore deep-seated and structural issues.
